I see most of the Yoplait Yogurts saying that it contains Kosher Gelatin. I don't know about Kosher Gelatin but as far as I know Gelatin is a protein produced by partial hydrolysis of collagen extracted from the boiled bones, connective tissues, organs and some intestines of animals such as domesticated cattle, pigs, and horses (source: wikipedia). So is Kosher Gelatin also made out of animals? When I was little I saw a show on TV a documentary that was on Gelatin and how its made from animals since then Gelatin freaked me out so much that even its name makes me feel "Ugghhh"! I bought Science Diet Nature's Best (obviously she wouldn't eat kibble in the wild but it's better than grocery store cat food) and it has vegetables and fruit (like cranberries) in it. I have bought dry and wet food for my 8 week old kitten. I will be getting the kitten in two days. Unfortunately, the current owner is feeding it only dry food -- Friskies I believe. I have bought "Nature's Choice", DRY food--3 flavors and I plan on rotating them so the kitten doesn't become a picky eater. And for the WET food, I bought "By nature, Organics (Chicken flavor)". I simply want to find semi-easy to purchase cat/kitten food and find something that will be mostly healthy for them to keep vet bills minimum and the cat to have a happy life!
